Dr. Bill Nelson was born and raised in Stanley, ND.  He completed undergraduate studies at Minot State and North Dakota State University.  He received his Doctorate from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN.  Prior to returning to North Dakota, Bill worked at Team Health Care in Champlin, MN where he was exposed to a diverse group of patients.  When the opportunity arose for Bill to return, he seized it and accepted a position at Bismarck Chiropractic Clinic, now Healthways.

Healthways offers a broad spectrum of services to maintain and regain one’s physical health.  In addition to chiropractic care, they also offer physical therapy, Lordex low back decompression, and a 24-hour fitness center. Recently, new services have been added to aide employers in the hiring process that include drug testing, pre-employment screenings, and DOT physicals.

Bill currently serves an array of patients that includes everyone from newborns to seniors.  Throughout his chiropractic career, he has treated a wide range of conditions from chronic low back and neck pain to rehabilitation following an accident or injury.  His practice’s primary focus is to deliver highly effective chiropractic care while restoring patients to their optimal health in the shortest period of time.  He utilizes a variety of adjusting and therapeutic techniques as determined by the needs of each patient.  His career is rewarding in many ways, but he takes the most pride in hearing from his patients, “Wow, I never knew I could feel this good!”

He is available to see new patients six days a week with scheduled hours Monday through Saturday, including evening hours.  He is also one of the few chiropractors in the area to offer emergency chiropractic services.

Bill currently serves as a board member of the North Dakota Chiropractic Association.  During the winter months, you can find him sporting black and white stripes on wrestling mats as a referee throughout the state.  In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, hunting and traveling.  He currently resides in Mandan with his wife, Joey, and their daughter Andaleen.
